Civilians killed and wounded as army aircraft bombard residential neighborhoods in several states

Rhino: Agencies – On Thursday, the army warplanes bombed the eastern side of El Fasher city, followed by a fierce exchange of artillery shelling in the southeastern direction of the city between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
The army resumed shelling the city of Mellit on Thursday after it was bombed several times since the RSF took control of it last April.
According to eyewitnesses who spoke to media outlets, the bombing targeted the neighborhoods of al-Jir and the seventh regiment near the headquarters of the military division in Mellit, North Darfur, noting that there were no casualties.
On Wednesday morning, army warplanes bombed the El Eilafon petroleum terminal, which transports South Sudanese oil. The attack caused significant damage, as the drones struck inside the station’s body, and caused injuries to workers inside the petroleum station.
The RSF took control of the El-Elafon area in East Nile, Khartoum state, last October, which led to the suspension of the El-Elafon terminal before it was restarted after South Sudan intervened.
The army’s air force also carried out airstrikes on Hilat Koko in the East Nile locality in the capital Khartoum.
Lt. Gen. Yasser al-Atta, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and member of the Sovereign Council, visited the 3rd Infantry Division in Shendi. On Tuesday, he was accompanied by Lieutenant General Mohamed Abbas al-Labib, deputy director of the Security and Intelligence Service (SIS) and members of his delegation.
Addressing the soldiers, Yasser al-Atta said that the warplanes continue to operate and bomb for the third day, indicating that the battle is long and will continue to Kordofan and Darfur, noting that the armed forces have prepared forces for operations in Khartoum and another for the liberation of Al-Jazeera and the opening of the Jabal Moya road.
On Wednesday evening, army warplanes carried out airstrikes on the city of Dali in Sennar state, causing dozens of casualties and a large number of wounded. The bombing hit several locations in Gezira and Sennar states.
