Ben Ramadan gives Tunisia victory over Gambia in Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers

Rhino: Agencies – Midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan scored a goal with about a quarter of an hour left to lead Tunisia to a valuable victory over Gambia 2-1, in the second round of Group A of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Tunisia took the lead through a header by Ali Abedi in the 11th minute, before Gambia responded quickly in the 14th minute with a goal by Ali Sowa, who took advantage of a lapse in the positioning of the “Carthage Eagles” defenders.
After dominating possession and numerous chances, Ben Ramadan snatched the winning goal for Tunisia in the 76th minute, with a ground shot after a clever pass from 20-year-old right back Raed Boucheneba.
Tunisia topped Group A with 6 points from two wins, while Gambia, who drew with Comoros in the first round 1-1.
