Rhino: Agencies – The Swiss government on Wednesday approved a bill to ban the Palestinian Islamic resistance group Hamas as a terrorist organization, saying anyone violating the ban would be punished with imprisonment or a fine.
Under the new law, which must go to parliament for approval, Hamas and groups affiliated with it will be banned as well as organizations and groups acting on behalf of or in the name of the movement.
