Brazil’s rising star echoes Neymar’s comments

Rhino: Agencies – Palmeiras striker Estevão, who has been included in Brazil’s 2026 World Cup qualifying squad to face Ecuador and Paraguay, says he is confident of starting for the Seleção despite his inexperience and 17 years of age.
Speaking at a press conference from the Brazilian national team’s training camp in Curitiba, the striker said when asked if he aspires to start: ‘There are always expectations. I’ll show it in training, I’ll be available in training, and I hope everything goes well.’
The player, who already has a contract with Chelsea from next summer, indicated that he has yet to speak with head coach Dorival Junior about his role in the team, but he intends to capitalize on his call-up.
Dorival Jr. has also said that he would be cautious about involving Indric Felipe in the Copa America tournament, for which he also called up the current Real Madrid 17-year-old striker, but ended up utilizing him and making him an important part of the Brazilian squad.
