Al-Mustaqbal Banking Services launches operations in Nyala south Darfur

Nyala: Rhino – The launch of Al-Mustaqbal Banking Services in Nyala, the capital of South Darfur state, in recent days has seen a huge rush of citizens. This follows the closure of commercial banks in the Darfur states since the outbreak of fighting between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces.

Last week, Al-Mustaqbal began procedures to open bank accounts. The head of the state’s Chamber of Commerce, Mohamed Hussein Duwan, explained that the bank’s capital is entirely national, confirming that the bank will soon open branches in localities.

For his part, Adam Abdullah Bakhoor, head of the South Darfur Employers’ Union, said that more than one bank is in the process of being established in the coming days, noting that this step is at the heart of economic activity. He noted that Al-Mustaqbal Bank has pledged to open branches in the states under the transitional government, in addition to its approximately 2,000 branches abroad, which will facilitate global transactions.
