12 civilians killed in army airstrikes on Jaili, north of Khartoum

Rhino: Agencies – Activists said on Thursday that at least 12 people were killed in a Sudanese army drone bombardment targeting a market in Al-Jaili area, north of the capital Khartoum.
The Bahri Resistance Committees said that the northern countryside of the city woke up to the sound of a new massacre carried out by the Sudanese army drones in the large market of Al-jaili, killing 12 citizens.
In a statement, the committees condemned the Sudanese army’s treatment of citizens living in RSF-controlled areas as enemies, and demanded that it stop targeting markets, which have become their last resort for earning a living.
The statement added: ‘We remind the Sudanese army of its first military and constitutional duty to protect lives and property.’
The constant targeting by Sudanese army drones of densely populated neighborhoods in Jaili has forced around 70 per cent of the area’s residents to flee to Omdurman via the sea and to the Nile River and northern states.
The Jaili area and the oil refinery there have been under the control of the RSF since fighting began in mid-April last year.
