Sudanese army bombs Al-Diein in East Darfur for the second time in days

Rhino: Agencies – Today, Sunday, the army warplanes launched an air raid on Al-Diein city, the capital of East Darfur state, the raid is the second of its kind in less than a week on Al-Diein.

The ‘Darfur24’ website quoted news website quoted eyewitnesses as saying that an Antonov aircraft dropped three-barrel bombs targeting the fortification site west of Al-Diein hospital and next to the headquarters of the Central Bank of Sudan.

They pointed out that the raid targeted a house located near the Central Bank of Sudan, and another house near Al-Diein football stadium, located in a populated neighborhood west of the city.

The witnesses reported that the airstrike caused significant damage to the residential buildings, while they did not confirm the loss of life.

On Tuesday morning, the army carried out an airstrike on Al-Diein Teaching Hospital, killing 18 civilians, mostly women, including six hospital employees, and injuring about 21 others, including displaced people in a shelter near the hospital.
