RSF: An agreement with mediators to open 4 airports in Darfur to deliver aid

Khartoum: Rhino – The negotiating delegation of the Rapid Support Forces confirmed during a press conference in the Swiss capital ‘Geneva’ today, Sunday, that they are open to dialogue with all Sudanese people in order to stop the war. The delegation held the army responsible for the failure of the negotiations for not attending, adding: ‘They do not have the desire to do so, and the Islamic Movement controls Al-Burhan and controls his movements.

The head of the delegation, Brigadier General Omar Hamdan, revealed that they reached an agreement with the international community and mediators to open airports in a number of Sudanese cities under the control of the RSF, namely Nyala, Zalingei, El Diein and El Geneina, to be operated by the United Nations to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to all citizens in those areas.

Hamdan referred to the Manama Agreement and said: ‘We counted on it a lot, in order to address the political crisis in Sudan, and work to re-establish and build the Sudanese state on new and just foundations and principles and achieve justice and democracy.’
