Ahmed Tugud Lasan, the spokesperson for Tasis Alliance
Rhino: Follow-up – Ahmed Tugud Lesan, official spokesperson for the Sudan Founding Alliance, said that the “Government of Peace” has referred files related to violations committed during the war in Sudan—including the use of chemical weapons—to relevant international organizations and bodies, as part of a process aimed at holding those responsible accountable in accordance with international mechanisms.
In an interview with “Erm News,” Tugud added that the government continues to coordinate with a number of concerned countries and organizations to document the violations and pursue legal action regarding them, emphasizing that the continuation of the war and violations against civilians reflects, in his words, the failure of the strategy of relying on a military solution and calls for more effective international action to ensure investigation and accountability.
He continued: “The movement has adopted a strategy of continuing the war as a means of survival, regardless of the human, material, and economic costs incurred by Sudan—its resources and the blood of the Sudanese people—which has led to ongoing violations by the Islamic Movement’s battalions and their allied elements, alongside Port Sudan forces, and the use of drones in particular, and the systematic targeting of broad segments of the social fabric—a natural consequence of the prevailing discontent, despair, and loss of direction. What happened yesterday in the Al-Zawiya al-Ghara area, where approximately 37 people were killed, is a natural outcome of this approach, in addition to many other areas).
