Khartoum: Rhino – The Sudanese Teachers Committee (STC) condemned on Wednesday the killing of the entire family of a teacher ‘Khaled Maamoun’ when the army bombed his house in Ombada neighbourhood in Omdurman, including his teacher wife.
The committee said in a statement on Wednesday that there were conflicting reports about the fate of ‘Mamoun’ after he was hospitalized in critical condition, and that it was not possible to communicate to identify his condition, due to the poor network.
The committee described the incident as a full-fledged crime and the barbaric behaviors practiced by the air force, without regard for the minimum safety rules, distance from citizens’ homes, and indiscriminate bombing.
The statement said: ‘The continuation of the war with such brutality without deterrence is a danger that threatens the lives of millions and portends an unprecedented catastrophe, especially as the path taken by the international community is tossed by desires and intersections, without regard for the situation of civilians who have become defenceless.
