Israeli strike targets Hezbollah site in Lebanon

Rhino: Agencies – An Israeli strike on Monday evening targeted an arms depot of the Hezbollah group in Lebanon’s eastern Bekaa Valley, the Israeli military said.
Two security sources told Reuters the strike did not result in any fatalities, but Lebanon’s health ministry said it injured eight people, including six Lebanese and two Syrian children.
The Israeli military said the air force bombed a number of Hezbollah weapons storage facilities in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley region.
‘After the strikes, secondary explosions were detected, indicating the presence of large quantities of weapons in the facilities that were bombed,’ it said in a statement.
Earlier strikes in Deir Qanoun and Taybeh in southern Lebanon targeted a commander in Hizbullah’s rocket and missile unit and a cell operating from one of the militant group’s military sites, the army said.
