Foreign delegations leave Geneva after the Sudanese army’s procrastination to engage in negotiations

Geneva: Rhino – Sources in the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) revealed today, Monday, that most of the foreign delegations participating in the Geneva negotiations to end the war in Sudan between the Sudanese army and the RSF, after the expiration of the US deadline for the army leadership to send its delegation to engage in the negotiations, which started on 14 August.

In an exclusive statement to Rhino, the sources predicted that the coming period will witness an unprecedented military escalation, after the procrastination of the army leadership and their refusal to participate in the Geneva negotiations that the Sudanese people are waiting for to end their suffering caused by the war, and accused the Islamists of obstructing the army’s delegation.

The US State Department invited the Sudanese army and the RSF to a round of negotiations in the Swiss capital, Geneva, which began on 14 August, with the RSF delegation attending under US auspices and mediators from Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the UAE, but the army delegation was absent.
