RSF negotiating delegation meets with AU and Saudi Arabia delegations

Khartoum: Rhino – The negotiating delegation of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), headed by Brigadier General Omar Hamdan, discussed a number of issues and topics related to the developments in Sudan and ways to achieve peace and stability.
During the meeting with the African Union delegation headed by the head of the High-Level Mechanism, Mohamed Ibn Chambas, the RSF delegation expressed its appreciation for the regional and international efforts aimed at achieving peace in the country. The RSF delegation stressed that participation in the Geneva negotiations called by the United States of America is an expression of a sincere desire to stop the war and end the humanitarian suffering faced by the Sudanese people due to the war.
The delegation pointed out that the other party’s failure to respond to the negotiations to stop the war, and its insistence on continuing to fight despite its loss in the field, is due to the multiplicity of decision-making centers, and the old regime’s control over the joints of the armed forces, and it’s harnessing them to serve its agenda.
During its meeting with the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia headed by Ambassador Ali bin Jaafar, the RSF delegation affirmed its appreciation for the efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve peace and stability in Sudan, especially its sponsorship of the two rounds of negotiations in the Jeddah Platform that led to the current Geneva negotiations, in addition to the generous support provided to those affected by the war in Sudan through the King Salman Centre, and renewed its commitment to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to those in need throughout the country.
