Rhino: Agencies – West Ham on Thursday expressed their interest in signing Spaniard Carlos Soler from Paris Saint-Germain.

West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui is keen to sign his compatriot and midfielder Soler, making him the club’s ninth signing of the summer, according to the British News Agency (BNA).

West Ham have already spent £130 million on the likes of Max Kellman, Nicolas Foulkrug, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Crescenzo Somerville, and the transfer market may not be over for them just yet.

‘I’m not going to talk about names that aren’t here, that’s not my goal today, and we’ll see what happens,’ said the Spanish coach.

‘The market is open, we are aware of that, but we will put all our focus on the players we have.’

West Ham open their season against Aston Villa on Saturday in the first round of the Premier League.
