Rhino: Agencies – German Foreign Minister Annalina Berbock on Thursday called on Syria’s interim government to control extremist elements in its ranks.

Speaking in Damascus after the reopening of the German embassy there, Berbock said she told the new Syrian administration that ‘the task is now on them to turn words into deeds, but it is also on them to control extremist groups within their ranks and to hold those responsible for crimes.’
