Egypt’s historic gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics

Rhino: Agencies – Egypt’s Ahmed El-Gendy won the gold medal in modern pentathlon at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on Saturday.
The Egyptian athlete succeeded in breaking the Olympic and world records, after he finished the competition with 1555 points.
El Guindy scored 1555 points by the end of the final day of the modern pentathlon, beating Japan’s Taisho Sato (1542 points) and Italy’s Giorgio Malan (1536 points).
During the 2024 Paris Olympics, El Guindy set an Olympic record in the modern pentathlon, after he scored 1516 points on the second day.
El Guindy won the second medal of his career, after he won the silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with 1477 points.
It is noteworthy that Ahmed El Guindy won gold at the 2018 Youth Olympics in Argentina.
El Guindy won Egypt’s third medal at the Paris Olympics, after Sarah Samir won silver in weightlifting and Mohamed El Sayed won bronze in fencing.
