Rhino: US forces in Syria have been attacked by a drone, a US official told Reuters, but initial reports say there were no casualties.
The attack is the second on US forces in the Middle East in the past few days and comes at a time when tensions are rising in anticipation of a possible new wave of attacks by Iran and its allies.
Iran and Hamas have accused Israel of carrying out Haniyeh’s assassination on 31 July. Israel has neither claimed nor denied responsibility for the killing.

The attack took place at a military base hosting US and US-led coalition troops in the Rumailan area of northeastern Syria.
