Rhino: A German Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Wednesday that rumors of a possible evacuation from Lebanon have given German citizens there a false sense of security, urging them to leave the country immediately.

“The time to leave Lebanon is now,” the spokesman said, urging citizens to organize their own departure flights, even if that means travelling through Turkey or booking more expensive flights.

A Ministry of Defonce spokesperson declined to give details of preparations for possible evacuations, should the conflict in the Middle East escalate.
