Sudanese Football Association selects South Sudan to play Niger in Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers

Juba: Agencies – The Sudanese Football Association on Friday chose the Juba Olympic Stadium as the venue for the Sudanese first football team’s match against Niger for the first round of the 2025 African Nations Championship qualifiers.
The Federation made a sudden change to its previous decision to choose the ‘Benina’ stadium in Benghazi, Libya, at the request of coach Kwasi Appiah, before deciding to choose the Juba Olympic Stadium on Friday.
‘South Sudan used to be part of Sudan, and the stars of the national team will not find a difference in the atmosphere between the south and the north, as well as the guarantee of support from the masses,’ said Osama Atta Al-Mannan, Vice President of the Football Association, in press statements. I think our decision is the right one, and it will have a positive impact on the match against Niger.
