Port Sudan: Rhino – The Director of Prisons, Lieutenant General Yasser Omar Abuzaid, on Wednesday gave new details about the release of the symbols of the defunct regime from Kober prison after the outbreak of the war.

He revealed that the person responsible for the release of the National Congress leaders is the Deputy Chief Justice, who, after personal contacts with the prison administration, issued a decision to release them, after requiring them to write personal pledges to announce their surrender in front of the public, whenever they are asked to do so.

In the regular police forum on Wednesday in Port Sudan, Abouzeid confirmed that the prison administration had two options regarding the 18 symbols of the former regime in Kober Prison, either to release them or let them die in prison because they were targeted by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
