Rhino: Agencies – Liverpool coach Arne Slotte praised the performance of his French center back Ibrahima Konate, who wore the captain’s armband in the last match against Italy (3-1) in the UEFA Nations League.
“It’s good news for Manchester City and the league, because everyone wants the best coaches and players here, and he is definitely one of them, if not the best,” he said.
“Look at what he has done in the last few years, he is a four-time (consecutive) league champion, and it is fair to say he is the best.”
He continued: “They have a lot of quality players. If (Guardiola) chooses to leave, I don’t expect them to be at the bottom of the table next season. It’s interesting for us as coaches, to face one of the best coaches of all time.”
