Sudanese army aviation destroys Khartoum telecoms tower

Khartoum: Rhino – The Sudanese army’s warplanes targeted the telecommunications tower off Nile Street in the capital Khartoum on Saturday, causing a fire and destruction of the building.

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) condemned the incident and said in a statement on Saturday that it is inseparable from the scorched earth scenario adopted by the army, noting that the army’s warplanes deliberately hit public facilities in Khartoum earlier, including the tower of the General Authority for Standards and Metrology and the tower of the Nile Petroleum Company, in addition to dropping barrel bombs on populated areas.

The statement said: ‘The air force of Al-Burhan’s militia and terrorist brigades continued its systematic bombing operations to destroy the country’s infrastructure and vital facilities.
