Rhino: Agencies – Dani Olmo’s €60 million penalty clause expires on Saturday and if Barcelona want to sign the Spaniard, who currently plays for RB Leipzig, they will have to move quickly.

Olmo, who played for seven years in the Catalan club’s youth teams, has always been on the radar of the club’s officials, but this summer it seems closer than ever.

Barça are once again interested in the 26-year-old, and according to some reports, club officials have met with the player’s agent several times to try and reach an agreement before tomorrow.

After the penalty clause expires, the Bundesliga club will demand more than 60 million for his services.

Barcelona is interested in Dani Olmo as their coach, Hansi Fleck, is familiar with his career, but the financial aspect is the current obstacle in finalizing the deal, as the club needs cash but doesn’t have much time.

The club is also fighting on another front, which is to obtain the services of young player Nico Williams, whose penalty clause is also close to Dani Olmo, but Barça is not in a hurry to sign Williams because there is no time for his penalty clause to expire.
