Rhino: Agencies – On Sunday, Sudanese army aircraft launched a series of raids on sites in the cities of Nyala and “Al Diain” in the Darfur region, which led to the death and injury of civilians and the destruction of a number of public service facilities and civilian housing.

In a statement on the “X” platform, the Rapid Support Forces spoke of a new violation added to the series of serious violations, “carried out by the coup aircraft and the remnants of the old regime by launching air strikes targeting populated areas.”

Local sources told Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that the planes bombed the city of El Geneina, the capital of West Darfur state, with barrel bombs and destroyed a large number of houses, killing a woman and wounding 4 others in the Al-Naseem neighborhood.

According to the same sources, the areas targeted by the army are “far from the military sites where the RSF are based, and one of the barrels fell on the city’s cemetery. Residents and eyewitnesses said that the shelling also caused significant material damage to a number of nearby homes.

According to the statement, dozens of people were killed in the indiscriminate shelling, and a number of residential buildings were destroyed. The statement emphasized the RSF’s condemnation of such acts and practices that constitute war crimes, stressing that “the battle against the remnants of the deposed regime will not stop”.
