ISIS kills 4 policemen in clashes in eastern Iraq

Rhino: Agencies – Four policemen were killed and at least three wounded in clashes between Iraqi government forces and Islamic State militants in Iraq’s eastern Diyala province, Iraqi police and medical sources told Reuters on Saturday.

Security sources said the clashes took place as police and army forces searched for militants hiding in agricultural areas in the town of Khan Bani Saad, in Diyala province.

Two police colonels said the clashes were ongoing, adding that the militants were using sniper rifles to prevent police and soldiers from advancing.

At least one policeman is in critical condition, among three injured, police said.
