Omdurman: Rhino – The Omdurman Resistance Committees revealed on Tuesday that incidents of looting had taken place in the northern and southeastern parts of the Karri district, involving “systematic” violations in broad daylight, including the looting of citizens’ phones and shooting at them.

The resistance committees in Omdurman confirmed in a statement on Tuesday that the eighth neighborhood in the Karri locality has been subjected to continuous violations since 2023 in the vicinity of Al-Naw Hospital, and later spread to the rest of the area, including murder, robbery, and terrorism, and that these violations are taking place in full view of the security forces stationed near the hospital.

For their part, the resistance committees of the eighth neighborhood strongly condemned the crimes and attacks, stressing that “the blood of innocents and the dignity of citizens in the area will not be cheap, and that these acts will not go unpunished.”

Citizens in Omdurman complain about the spread of looting at gunpoint and the snatching of women’s bags and phones from passersby in the streets.
