Rhino: Agencies – Kenyan President William Ruto this morning held telephone talks with President Salva Kiir Mayardit and First Vice President Riek Machar.

In a press release posted on his official Facebook page, Ruto said he appealed to both Kiir and Machar to engage in dialogue in order to promote peace in the country, stressing that this is necessary as it is in line with the IGAD strategic framework.

Ruto informed the two leaders that regional consultations are underway to determine the best options to move forward in order to maintain peace in the country.
